Het kitsgetuigde zeiljacht "Zeehond" werd in 1950 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van Baron van Höevell, een ontwerper die bekend stond om zijn klassieke, zeewaardige zeiljachten met elegante lijnen en een solide constructie. Kenmerkend voor zijn ontwerpen zijn de S-spant-rompvorm en traditionele tuigage, die zowel esthetiek als functionaliteit combineren. De "Zeehond" is een prachtig voorbeeld van dit vakmanschap en weerspiegelt de nautische schoonheid en bouwkwaliteit van die tijd. Het vooronder, dat momenteel als opslagruimte wordt gebruikt, kan eenvoudig worden teruggebracht naar haar oorspronkelijke functie als slaapruimte. De eigenaarshut heeft 1x een 1-persoons & 1x een 1,5-persoons (twijfelaar) slaapplaats en aansluitend bevindt zich de salon met een hoekzit en potkachel. Verder omvat het interieur een kombuis, toiletruimte, hondekooi en navigatiehoek met langsbank. Door de jaren heen zijn er al veel werkzaamheden aan het jacht uitgevoerd. De roerkoning is vernieuwd en waar nodig zijn er delen van de romp en het berghout vervangen. Ook het boordnet is vernieuwd. Het interieur is deels gerenoveerd maar door omstandigheden kan de huidige eigenaar het project niet afronden.
