While ecoracer Waarschip Hubo “W36” (offcial Waarschip W36 Worlds Edition Hubo) was successfully racing in the south of the UK at the Rolex Fastnet Race, the smaller sister Waarschip Reeskip "Reeskip" is getting up to pace on Lake IJsselmeer. This 8.25m. version, also build by Waarschip Yacht Boatyard, is based on the same DNA as “Hubo” but with a small coachroof for a bit more comfort below. It is also a bit more tuned to shorthanded racing with a bowsprit instead of a spinnaker.

The History of Waarschip Yacht
At the end of the sixties, Willem Akkerman and Klaas Kremer of Waarschip developed the Quarter Tonner (after the 600, the 600 SV and the 710). The Quarter Tonner (also called 725) is a light rigid cabin sailboat for the Quarter Ton Cup. The beautiful lines of the ship and the good results gave many (race) sailors the jitters.
As a result, many Quarter Tonners found their way to these sailors. With the Quarter Tonner prototype - named Waarschip, Kremer regularly occupied first place during many competitions in the Netherlands, such as the Flevo Race, and abroad during the Cowes Week and the Quarter Ton Cup.
History Waarschip Reeskip
In 1972 the original “Waarschip” was sold and renamed; “Reeskip”.
Later on “Reeskip” was sold and renamed; “Spray”, the original Waarschip “Spray” is still racing.
Since 2019 there is again a Waarschip called "Reeskip", this Waarschip is designed to the latest tuned updates as at the bigger racing sister “Hubo”. All Waarschip types acord to the typical and unique characteristics of “Waarschip” and thé Waarschip DNA.
