What types of Sturiër are for sale?
Sturiër has a long history, dating back to 1795. Originally, wooden ships were built, but since the boat was bought by a shipyard in Stavoren in 1918, steel has been used more and more. The shipyard, now known as Volharding Staveren Shipyard, now has several types of pleasure yachts, suitable for a sailing holiday on even the roughest parts of the water.
Volharding Staveren Shipyard builds two types of Sturiër ships: the Ocean Cruiser (OC) and Centre Sleeper (CS).
Sturiër OC Range
The Sturiër OC Range is ocean-going and therefore has an immense range. They can sail between 1500 and 3000 nautical miles, and are built to withstand rough water. They are spacious ships, with many lounge areas and several sleeping cabins. They vary from 15 to 18.5 metres. Among others, HISWA members have the Sturiër 400 OC and Sturiër 520 OC for sale.
Sturiër CS Range
CS stands for Centre Sleeper, and refers to the way the yachts are built. Because the ship is built with a round bilge, the master bedroom is located exactly in the middle. This has the added advantage that the cabin is very spacious. The CS range has an extra focus on luxury, and is equipped with every conceivable comfort. The ships are seaworthy and vary from 16.95 to 20.6 metres.
Volharding Staveren Shipyard also builds the Dutchman line. These ships are also ocean-going, but focus extra on luxury. The Dutchman Explorer can also sail enormous distances, with a range of no less than 4,000 nautical miles. With this you can almost conquer the entire world!
