There are usually three types of boats: sailing yachts, motor yachts and sloops. Each brand specializes in a certain type of boat, although there are some shipyards that build multiple ones.

Which brand of sloop, sailboat or motor yacht should I buy depends on your wishes. Each brand specialises in a certain area. For example, think of sportiness, luxury, recreation or cruising, something that is also reflected in the specifications and appearance. Within this area, they often offer a wide range of boats.
Therefore, determine in advance what exactly you want to get out of your boat or be inspired by the possibilities. For example, do you want a boat that is excellent for fishing, but that can also reach high speeds? Then a Boston Whaler might be an interesting choice. Do you want to sail on the Frisian Lakes? The differences between the types of boats

Sloop
A sloop uses a motor and is particularly suitable for recreational use. A sloop usually has no cabin and has a low bow, which means it can sail under most bridges. This also makes a sloop very suitable for sailing along city canals or in villages, for example. The open character also provides plenty of seating and little to no experience is required to sail one.

Motorboat
A motorboat comes in different versions. Many variants have a cabin, which makes them suitable for shelter from the sun or rain, but also for cooking or sleeping in. Motorboats with a cabin are often also called a motor yacht. Open motorboats are often more focused on speed and are for sporty use. In this case, sleeping places are sometimes located under the deck. Their speed can easily exceed 20 kilometers per hour. In general, you can go on holiday with motorboats.

Sailing boat
A sailing boat is usually moved by the wind, although some models also have an extra engine. Sailing ships are perfect for adventurous or sporty water sports enthusiasts. They come in many models: from open polyvalken for a day of sailing to large sailing yachts that can brave the wildest seas.
