Description
Former patrol vessel of the Dutch River Police, type Biesboschkruiser. She sailed under the numbers RP05 and RP37, with homeports Hansweert until 1951, Zwolle until 1956, Nigtevecht until 1960, Akersloot until 1971 and finally Groningen until 1978, after which the vessel was decommissioned. Subsequently, she was put into service as a pleasure craft. In 2004, a major refit took place, during which the main engine was replaced by a new Vetus Deutz diesel engine, driving the propeller shaft hydraulically. The interior is finished in oak wood. To starboard, in the forecabin, there is a cabin with a three-quarter bed, and to port is the toilet situated. The salon is furnished with two benches along the sides that can be converted, by means of an infill, into a double berth. In the wheelhouse are the steering position and a small galley situated. The cockpit is easily accessible thanks to the aft bulkhead that can be fully opened. In our opinion, this is a charming vessel with a reliable propulsion system, allowing a new owner to undertake many fine voyages. Thanks to her low air draft, she is also ideally suitable for navigating smaller waterways.
