Beautiful and comfortable sailing yacht with very few sailing hours (1700 miles on log)
The Pilot Sail Explorer 12 which we offer was designed by the renowned designer W. Nieland. He is known for his rugged timeless seagoing designs. This was no different when designing the Explorer (the name says it all). With her modern cockpit and double steering wheels (with integrated elevation) she is easy to sail duohanded or single handed. All lines run to the cockpit along the superstructure, so everything is easily accessible when a line or pulley needs to be replaced. We also see these practical matters back in the interior, more on this later. The fixed wheelhouse offers good shelter and a spacious seating for in the harbor and / or at anchor. Also under sail we can easily look over the deckhouse or along it. The gangways to the foreship have several handles and are equipped with a good anti-slip. By placing the mittens on the deck, it is easy to walk to the bow without obstructions.
The wheelhouse has an elevated seating area with an L-shaped seat on port side and a longitudinal bench on starboard side. There is also a built-in computer screen, throttle and autopilot controls. The backrest is removable so that this sofa can also be used as a swing bed for long crossings. The viewing height to the outside is excellent and the substantial sliding hatches provide ventilation and that you can keep an eye on the sail position without going outside.
By means of short stairs (2 steps) we enter the saloon with a galley placed alongside with 3-burner stove, stainless steel sink and top loading fridge. On the other side of the Kielmidzwaard (electrically operated) is a cozy seating. As you can see on the photos, all deck fittings are easily accessible and there is no inner shell, this but it is very clear and practical when replacing or renewing such things. Through the sliding door on port side we enter the wet room. Equipped with separate shower with curtain and drainage, so the toilet remains dry. Here is also a (narrow) passage to the stern with a 1-person bed and work table. Because of the open connection with the owner's cabin, the "work table" will have a better destination as, for example, a workplace or make-up table.
In the bow is a double V-bed with large closet space placed. Under the bed is more storage space. Through the passage to the stern we come along the electrical installations such as switchboard, inverters and charging equipment. These are generously built in and offers opportunities for additional equipment / storage space.
The aft cabin is equipped with comfortable Neptune mattresses, closet space and portholes for natural ventilation.
